doreen-langdon-19-9-16I am a Commonwealth Registered Marriage Celebrant. Therefore I can ensure that with the inclusion of the legal wordings that your union in marriage is also legally binding.

Your wedding day is probably one of the most important days of your lives. As your celebrant, I would like to provide you with a memorable ceremony created exactly how you want it to be. As a result of meeting and discussions with the parties to the wedding, I can provide you with the ceremony that you always dreamed your wedding should be. I can include your ideas and wishes in the ceremony and I can also provide you with options and ideas of appropriate inclusions within your ceremony to make it perfect and unique to you. The process of creating the unique wedding ceremony for you involves at least two face to face meetings. The first meeting should be used to decide if you feel I am a suitable celebrant for you. During this meeting if all parties agree, a Notice of Intention to Marry would be completed. This document is required to be completed within at least 30 days of the date of the intended marriage. As a celebrant I would use this first meeting to find out as much as I can about you as a couple and what you want in a wedding ceremony. I would most likely give you a “homework list” of items to think about or to do or to provide to me. This may include a list of music; poems and reading options & etc.

– The second meeting will involve the gathering of the information requested. As a result of this meeting I will create a ceremony just for your wedding.

A draft wedding ceremony is then emailed to you for your opinion; vetting and approval.
All changes are then done by me and re-emailed back to you.

The final draft of your wedding ceremony is created and settled upon. Ideally this should be done at least a few weeks before the wedding as this will allow you to know the order of the ceremony well before the day of the wedding.
As your celebrant I am happy to attend a rehearsal if you plan to have one.betty-wedding-3

– On the day of the wedding I promise to attend at the address of the wedding at least 1 hour before. I prepare the setting for the ceremony. I can provide (if required a signing table; table cloth; special pen; red carpet; a wishing well (for gifts). and/or a PA system. I will also mingle with you and those present to help settle nerves and ensure each person who has a role to play in the ceremony is aware of their responsibility.

At the end of the ceremony you will be provided with a marriage certificate (Please note, if you wish to obtain an official marriage certificate, you will need to do so through your state’s Birth Deaths & Marriages Office after the lodgement of the official documentation, which is my responsibility. Of course I would be happy to assist you with this application if you wish. You will also be provided with a keepsake copy of your ceremony.

Should you select me to be your wedding celebrant, I will pledge to provide you with support the whole way through the wedding process.
